The Istanbul Toy Museum, located in the Göztepe neighborhood of Kadıköy, was founded by Turkish poet and author Sunay Akın and opened on April 23, 2005, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day in Turkiye. Housing over 4,000 toys dating from the 1700s to the present, the museum offers both children and adults a nostalgic and educational experience. Each room is designed with a fairy-tale-like atmosphere, showcasing toys from around the world alongside their historical stories. With engaging exhibits, storytelling sessions, and vibrant decor, it’s a magical place for children and a sentimental journey for adults.

The Museum Café, located on the lower floor of the Istanbul Toy Museum, invites you to sip your tea while drifting into dreams surrounded by toys. Designed to make you feel as if you’re inside a life-sized dollhouse, the cozy and whimsical space also hosts birthday parties, breakfasts, and corporate events, offering a unique and nostalgic setting for special gatherings.

The museum is open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays (except Mondays) and from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM on weekends.
